The Manufacturing Technology Group, Incorporated, (MTG) was founded by two Manufacturing engineers previously employed by the Digital Equipment Corporation Metal Enclosures Business of Westfield, MA. Jack Adam former engineering manager and Dick Carver former principal engineer, have more than 60 years of combined experience with machining and fabrication.
MTG has two of the largest laser machines in New England. The 4,000 watt laser and a 2,600 watt laser can cut steel up to ¾” thick, in plates 5 feet wide by 10 feet long. With automatic loading and unloading tables there is little lost time for material handling. With a complete complement of support equipment, they can truly offer one stop shopping for your company’s needs. MTG can form parts up to 12 feet long requiring up to 200 tons of force. They offer spot welding capabilities, as well as Mig and Tig welding by certified welders, and plasma cutting to 3/8” thick steel. Additional manufacturing capabilities include automatic inserting capability for PEM style hardware, plus automatic tapping heads for Bridgeport Milling Machines and their multi-spindle drill presses.
MTG’s fabrication operation uses state-of-the-art computer workstations running a client/server platform to develop their process and control product flow. MTG is able to transfer files directly from your computer to their system via telephone or via Internet.
MTG offers a complete manufacturing capability from fabrication through the finish product, including inserting, welding, finishing, and assembly as well as offering engineering support for products. They have the equipment, the people and the experience necessary to offer you quality parts at excellent prices.
